Earlier this summer, we took a quick trip to northern Vermont to a lake house with some friends. We were lucky enough to find a home in Greensboro that could accommodate 9 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 dogs, which made for a full, and fun house! If you ask me, this is one of the best Vermont vacation spots!
We loved that it had plenty of space for relaxing, a huge table for family-style dinners, and of course the lake nearby! I love the morning hours in places like this. The light just feels extra pretty, and who can argue with this morning coffee view?
I also liked the charming, old school coffee maker. :)
The area is stunning! When we drove past this flower-filled field (say THAT five times fast!), I knew we had to pull over to snap a photo.
We brought our kayaks along, and my friend and I took a seriously beautiful sunset paddle one evening after dinner.
I couldn't get enough of the sunsets there! Crazy lady taking a million photos? Right here.
We took a couple of short trips during our stay; one to Cabot creamery where Rich discovered (and then we both promptly fell in love with) Everything Bagel Cheese. If you guys can get your hands on this, do it! This is amazing. Okay, end weird cheese love affair discussion...
We also visited Hill Farmstead Brewery. We'd been once before, last fall, and I knew it was a pretty drive, and would make for a nice spot to hang out while the 'boys' scoped out the craft beer scene.
On our way home, we stopped in Littleton for lunch. This small city is quickly becoming a favorite spot of ours! We picked up some (delicious!) pizza to go from Schilling Beer Co. and found a spot to sit and eat (their patio is not dog-friendly). This place is seriously yummy, and we'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a restaurant up that way. We also had to run into Chutters, of course, to grab a treat for the ride home!
Littleton has an amazing covered bridge that crosses the Ammonoosuc River. Their downtown is super cute, and has the most cheerful umbrella-covered walkway! Being the obsessed dog mom that I am, of course I had to take a couple of pictures along the way.
Where in New England do you love to vacation? We're always looking for a new adventure!
